Join the likes of Ernest Hemingway, Picasso and Woody Allen at Bar Marsella. It’s said to be Barcelona’s first bar (it originated in 1820) and is famed for its absinthe. Tbh, not much has changed on the inside of the bar since the 1800s, like the cobwebs and dirty floors are kind of part of the allure. Also, this bar gets rowdy after midnight and attracts a certain type of nighttime crowd so just be prepared.
