Unlike Rome’s traditionally cluttered trattorias, this sleek, minimalist space is notably modern, although it does manage to pay homage to Ostiense's manufacturing past with its timber floors, low-hanging lights, and exposed copper pipes. Lest you think you're on the factory floor, the wide white arches help divide the high-ceilinged space to create the illusion of intimacy, as do ramshackle, travel-inspired finds like recycled timber doors that help prop up the bar and a well-worn leather trunk that moonlights as a stand for a vase of freshly-picked wildflowers."
