The whimsy lies in elements like the illuminated soda sign above the bar and the jolly starburst lighting fixtures. The chic comes with the territory: We’re in Italy, after all, and the environment and service (and clientele) are informally elegant. The cooking, too, is stylish, with a fresh look at traditional flavors and local ingredients. You might start with a dome of fresh anchovies and potatoes, and you won’t want to skip the freshly caught fish, perhaps served with tiny olives, tomatoes and capers, or of course the pasta, such as spaghetti with little mussels or tortelli filled with mixed aromatic herbs. Desserts don’t pack quite the same punch, but the coffee is good and the wine list full of interesting Sicilian bottles."

We’re not being dramatic but we’re head over heels about this whole restaurant. From the leafy green plants tucked in the corners to the lovely terrace out back and delicious seafood dishes on the menu, Ristorante Manna Noto officially stole our hearts.
