L'Artusi Details PleaseOpen for indoor & outdoor diningWhat Our Friends Are Saying The Infatuation: "The beet ravioli and kale pyramides are still perfectly al dente and pretty enough to sell at the MoMA Design Store, and the bucatini with pecorino and pancetta is a case study in successful minimalism. The heavily marbled beef carpaccio with little pockets of garlicky crema is also one of the best dishes in NYC (top 50, let’s say), and the mains not only keep pace with the pastas, they sometimes lap them entirely."10BEST: "This is the Italian restaurant that has won the respect of restauranteurs and chefs the city over. Spread over two floors, L'Artusi's menu is simplicity personified. Instead of hard-to-pronounce ingredients with something to prove, you'll instead find pastas like spaghetti with garlic, chilies and parmesan, or branzino brandished with roasted lemon, olives and honey and finally yes, orecchiette with sausage and pecorino the little ears that will knock your socks off."

An oldie but goodie. This was New York’s “it” Italian restaurant in the early 2000s, and although it’s not as (keyword “as” because a walk-in wait time can still take hours) popular thanks to the booming restaurant industry in the city, it’s definitely still high on our list. Try the orecchiette or the marbled carpaccio, you won’t be disappointed.
